Bio

Ana Hantt and Josie Baron are longtime friends, born in the city of Venâncio Aires, Rio Grande do Sul. In 2018, they started the project @30ontheroad, which has already taken them to thirteen countries in North and South America, Europe, and Oceania. Their cameras may be filled with photos of mountain ranges, emerald lakes, and extinct volcanoes, but what the friends value the most is the stories they lived to tell. It is not by chance that the road is the scenery for the book series ‘Extraordinary’ which international release date is set to early December 2020.

Ana Hantt has a degree in Journalism, with a specialization in Marketing and a Master’s in Business. Josie Baron has a degree in Portuguese/English and their Literature and has a specialization in Teaching. Passionate about languages, they are always studying a new expression, an accent, or the origin of a word. Sí, would you like to learn ce mot?

In the endless pile of books to be read, there are all kinds of genres – from children’s classics like ‘Pollyanna’, to psychological thrillers like ‘Gone Girl’ – the truth is, the two friends are always looking for the next big story with a cup of coffee in hands. Fans of TV series like ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ and ‘Outlander’, they constantly exchange audios to discuss episodes and their favorite characters.

In their own stories, the authors give voice to strong female characters who are true to their own selves and find in one another the support needed to face all the challenges in the pursuit of their dreams. Diversity, feminism, equity, education, and empowerment are some of the topics that are never forgotten. All of this, with a touch of hope and magic.

When they are not backpacking or working on their writing projects, Ana Hantt and Josie Baron play with their respective godchildren, meet friends to cycle, in-line-skate or for film sessions; and plan their next creation in the kitchen, from a carrot cake to a super sandwich.
